In Kadal Kadannoru Mathukkutty, Mathukutty (Mammootty ) leads a happy life in Germany with his wife Janamma and two children. His native place is Ayiroor near Kozhencherry. He is the member of a big family with so many relatives and he also has a good number of friends.
It is Mathukkutty’s nature to be part of any affairs in his place and to get involved in all the problems of his villagers. He is the same in Germany too among the Malayalees there. Now he is in his village in relation to a cultural show to be held in Germany for the Malayalees there.
Mathukkutty is in charge of the program.But now his village has made huge progress in the social and cultural areas. Mathukkutty takes some time to get adjusted to this changed scenario of his village. Solomon, Tamban, Anandhan, and Benny include his friend circle.
In the village Mathukutty gets entangled in certain unexpected problems and the rest of the film narrates how he emerges out of these issues.
Directed by Renjith, ‘Kadal Kadannoru Mathukutty’ also casts Mohanlal, Dileep, Jayaram, and Jagadish. Mammootty does the role of the actor Mammootty too in this film. New face Alisha Muhammed and Meera Nandan do the female leads.
Nedumudi Venu, Balachandra Menon, Siddique, Suresh Krishna, Shekhar Menon, Kottayam Nazeer, Harisree Asokan, Ramesh Pisharody, Prem Prakash, and Muthumani also act in this movie.
In the banner of August Cinemas, ‘Kadal Kadannu oru Mathukutty’ is produced by Shaji Nadesan, Prithviraj, and Santhosh Sivan. Shahabas Aman is the music director.
