'Celluloid' to be dubbed into Tamil
The award winning feature film 'Celluloid' which told the lives and struggles of the first Mollywood film maker J C Daniel' will be soon dubbed into Tamil. The movie to be titled after 'J C Daniel' will be dubbed as a tribute to Indian cinema which is celebrating its 100 years in 2013. The movie directed by senior director Kamal featured Prithviraj and Mamtha Mohandas in the lead. A commercial as well as a critical success, the movie also won the maximum awards in this year's State award ceremony.
J C Daniel who hailed from Nagercoil was said to achieve less popularity , since he was born as a Tamilian, opined many filmy historians who worked to make his contributions visible. It is only less than a twenty years that the film maker was acknowledged for his first film 'Vigathakumaran' and his efforts to create the first films in Malayalam.
