DULQUAR SALMAN TO DEBUT IN TAMIL

He came and he captured! In spite of his father's super glory, Mammootty's son Dulquar Salman has managed to yearn for a place for himself with his very first low-key debut movie Second Show, which did reasonable business at the box office. His second film Ustad Hotel has hit the screens today and the actor is currently busy with Varsham, directed by debutante Kannan.

Now the latest is that Dulquar might may his Tamil debut soon. Reportedly the film will be directed by well know ad filmmakers JD and Jery (of Ullasam and Whistle fame). The duo has also recently co-worked with director Shankar for Shivaji.

After almost twenty years from their last film together, Superstar Mohanlal and ace director Siddhique are joining hands for yet another movie.

Titled 'Ladies and Gentleman', Siddhique has almost completed the story discussions with Lal this week and will be finalizing the script soon.

Produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirwad cinemas, Siddhique who is gradually working on his second Hindi project after the big hit 'Bodyguard' will kick start the shoot for this movie only by the opening months of next year.

DILEEP IN VYSAKH MOVIE

After the recent hit ‘Mallu Singh’ which is currently completing 50 days in 26 releasing centres, director Vysakh will move on to his new project soon. This time he will be for the first time uniting with Janapriyanayakan Dileep. The director who had completed a hat trick of hits will be eyeing for another in the scripts for Benny P Nayarambalam. As per the first reports, this Vysakh flick will be a December release.

Apart from this, Vysakh also have another project with Dileep, a humorous action thriller, tentatively titled as ‘Raajadhiraja’. To be produced by Dileep’s Home banner Grand Productions, this movie will be scripted by hit makers Uday Krishna-Sibi K Thomas.

The ace director Lal Jose who is celebrating the big success of his first movie as a producer, is gearing up for his next project. This time he will be coming up with another three heroine film featuring Prithviraj as the hero. Produced by Prakash Movie tones, this untitled film will have talented actresses Samvritha Sunil, Remya Nambeesan and Rima Kallingal in the female leads. Bobby-Sanjay pens the script for the movie while Jomon T. John cranks the camera. National Award winner Ouseppachan will unite with Laljose for the first time to handle the music department. The film which will be on sets soon will be canned in Eranakulam and Wayanad.

Ranjith’s advice for Mohanlal....

Yes, they have just worked on a film together, one that marked the reunion of director Ranjithand superstar Mohanlal. The director, who also ensured he was present at the launch of Mohanlal's book recently — a compilation of all his blog entries, also advised the star that he should be working on meaningful cinema rather than the same old larger-than-life commercial ventures.

Ranjith and Mohanlal were great friends, until rumours on a fallout making rounds. Though there are many versions for the brief silence between the two, industry sources say that the two parted ways because their 'interest' infilms changed.

Ironically, it was Ranjith who introduced larger-than-life cinema to Mollywood. Before he turned director, he wrote cult films like Devasuram, Aaraam Thampuran, Ustaad andNarasimham... all of which staring Mohanlal. After he turned director, he slowly veered towards non-commercial films.

In 2008, he directed Thirakkatha, a film that went on to win the National Award for best feature film in Malayalam. Then came Kerala Cafe, Paleri Manikyam..., Pranchiyettan and The Saintand Indian Rupee. With so many critically acclaimed films, Ranjith has entered a different league altogether. The director's latest film with Mohanlal does mark a reunion of sorts and is the star's detour into a genre that he stayed away from for a while now."

At the recently held do, when Ranjith told the star, 'In future, instead of doing waste movies, do good films,' Mohanlal accepted the same with a smile, in all humility.

Murugadoss, which will star Vijayas an encounter specialist, alongside Kajal Aggarwaland it also features Vidyut Jamwal,Jayaram, Sathyan, Gautham Kurup, Akshara Gowda. Produced by S. Thanu, the film features background score and soundtrack composed by Harris Jayaraj and cinematography handled by Santhosh Sivan.The film, which is being produced by Kalaipuli S. Dhanu, was officially announced in July 2010 and Supposed to start on November 26, 2011 but it began on 5 December in Mumbai

The soundtrack will be composed by Harris Jayaraj, working for the second time for Vijay after the successful album of Nanban and the third time with Murugadoss. After a long time, Vijay has sung a song for the film's album which happens to be a party number.Though initial reports said thatinternational R&B singer Akon would sing the title song of the film, they were later dismissed.
